The NFC East was one of the more disappointing divisions last year, but with a host of players returning from injury on all four teams, our free NFL betting picks and predictions can help you nail how the season could go down, as we approach of NFL Week 1 in 2021.
The most exciting thing about the NFC East has to be the above-mentioned stars returning from injury, with both Dak Prescott and Saquon Barkley looking like serious threats to win the Comeback Player of the Year in 2021.
Here are the NFL Futures bets we're throwing down for the NFC East ⏬
NFL Week 1 Matchup: Cowboys vs. Bucs
Super Bowl 2021 Win Probability: 3.1%
Super Bowl 2021 Odds: +4000 (BetMGM)
The Cowboys' 2020 campaign started slow and only got worse when Dak Prescott's season ended in week five. They then went on to finish the season 6-10, falling one win short of making the NFL Playoffs in what was a very weak NFC East.
Now with Dak back, expectations will be high for the Cowboys, but in saying that, our betting strategy here is to take the star QB to go UNDER his passing yards line. Only once has he gone above his number (2019) and even then it was only by around 75 yards, so it should be line-ball.
NFL Week 1 Matchup: Broncos vs. Giants
Super Bowl 2021 Win Probability: 1.2%
Super Bowl 2021 Winner Odds: +8000 (BetMGM)
Another NFC East team that finished 6-10 after losing their star man early in last season, the New York Giants look poised to bounce back in a big way.
With Saquan Barkley back on the field and Daniel Jones set to take another leap and, hopefully for the Giants, be throwing touchdowns from Week 1, the Giants are presenting great value to top their division.
Even with the tough times they suffered last season, there was still a four-game winning streak and a shot at the playoffs coming into the final week, to be proud of.
NFL Week 1 Matchup: Eagles vs. Falcons
Super Bowl 2021 Win Probability: 1.1%
Super Bowl 2021 Odds: +12500 (BetMGM)
In what was a disappointing season for the NFC East as a whole, fans of the Eagles were particularly flat, with the Birds finishing with a 4-12 record and winning just one of their last eight games.
But the one shining light in the latter stages of the season was young QB, Jalen Hurts. We're taking Hurts to take another step as the permanent starter this season, with an average of 220 pass yards per game (if he plays all 17) enough for us to cash this bet and withdraw some nice winnings from the online sportsbooks!
NFL Week 1 Matchup: Chargers vs. Washington
Super Bowl 2021 Win Probability: 1.6%
Super Bowl 2021 Odds: +5000 (BetMGM)
Last but not least, we've got the excitingly named Washington Football Team. WFT were the best performing team in the division in 2020, finishing with a 7-9 record and making the Playoffs.
Much of this was thanks to their defense and in particular DE and Defensive Rookie of the Year, Chase Young. Whilst Young should only rise to new heights this season, our favorite bet is on the offensive side, with Fitzmagic set to throw dimes for days in this Washington unit.
